It's a busy week for our seniors! Thank you to First Baptist Church Keiser for hosting the Class of 2024 Baccalaureate this evening, and special thanks to Rhonda Hodges for your encouraging message to the graduates! Next up..graduation!!

Mrs. Cain's Fashion and Interior Design class has been learning about alternative and unconventional design sources. Her students fabricated dresses out of newspapers, coffee filters and trash bags to show real life examples and they turned out great!

Does your student have an interest in computer programming/coding? If they do this concurrent credit program from A-State may be a great fit for them. Please contact Mr. Diagostino for more details to find out if they qualify to enroll. The process to get enrolled for the fall semester has to start before we leave school for the summer. The Colts took down Booneville 3-2 in the 3A State Tournament quarterfinals. Rivercrest will play Gosnell in the semifinals tomorrow, May 11, 2024, at noon. GO COLTS!

COLTS WIN! Conner Vaughn collected three hits in four at bats, as Rivercrest defeated Bismarck 10-3 on Thursday at Hot Springs in the opening round of the 3A State Baseball Tournament. Vaughn had two singles and a double. The Colts won thanks in part to six runs in the first inning. Joe Louis Ralph doubled, scoring two runs, lan McClain grounded out, scoring one run, Ashtin Cagle drew a walk, scoring one run, Lucas Chapman induced Keiran Morris to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Vaughn singled, scoring one run. Rivercrest added one run in the second. The Colts scored on a passed ball, making the score 7-2. Jaxon Kilburn pitched five and two-thirds innings in relief. The reliever gave up four hits and one run while, striking out one and walking none. Ralph opened the game for Rivercrest Varsity Colts. He allowed one hit and two runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking three. Rivercrest collected nine hits in the game. Ralph and Vaughn each drove in two runs. Kevin Morris collected two hits for Rivercrest in three at bats. The Colts had a strong eye at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Kilburn and Jacob Atchley led the team with three free passes each. Rivercrest turned one double play in the game. The Colts will play Booneville at 12:30 tomorrow.

Congratulations to the 2024 RHS Tenaris Roberto Rocca Merit Award recipients Jade Ramirez, Abigayle Baker, Addy Norvell, Hayley Gore, Eli Ezekiel, William Beckett, Jagger Harshman, Elijah Wynne, Jered Robertson, Omar Valenzuela, Conner Vaughn (not pictured), Lanyee Gardner (not pictured), and Ian McClain (not pictured)! Each student will receive a $2,000 scholarship to further their education. James Simpson was chosen as the Tenaris Student of the Year and will receive a $20,000 scholarship over the next 4 years! We are so proud of our seniors and thankful for companies like Tenaris that help them achieve their goals!

Students in Mrs. Mofield's Kindergarten class enjoyed being outside and listening to The Tiny Seed by Eric Clarke. Afterwards, they used magnifying glasses to investigate spiders, ants, and frogs.

COLTS WIN! Rivercrest Colts 6 Harrisburg Hornets 5 GAME RECAP: Rivercrest Colts beat Harrisburg Hornets 6-5 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the fifth when Gabe McLevain scored after tagging up. Rivercrest jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Jacob Atchley scored after tagging up, Joe Louis Ralph singled, and Harrisburg pitcher balked, each scoring one run. Ralph opened the game for the Colts. They gave up two hits and five runs over six innings, striking out 11 and walking three. They allowed two hits and five runs over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking five. Conner Vaughn pitched one inning of shutout ball for Rivercrest relief. The southpaw allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none. Ralph drove the middle of the lineup, leading with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Ralph, McLevain, Keiran Morris, lan McClain, and Vaughn each collected one hit for the. Ralph stole two bases. The Colts will play in the finals tomorrow, May 4 at 2:30.

In Coach Dye's Survey of Business class students have the opportunity to become certified as a Microsoft Office Pro. They are able to test and show proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We want to congratulate David Burt, Mya Castellanos, Keira Holloway, and Hannah Higgins for earning this certification!
